Answer

U.S. citizens do not need a visa. Please visit https://rree.gob.sv/servicios/visas-para-extranjeros/ to see what countries require a visa.

Question

What is the currency of El Salvador?

Answer

The U.S. dollar. Most places take credit cards but if you are visiting small towns other than the capital, San Salvador, you should carry some cash just in case.

Question

How do I get around in El Salvador?

Answer

Uber is available in San Salvador. Nevertheless, we have included the numbers of some trustworthy drivers in the "Travel" tab. Please reach out to them via WhatsApp in advance to arrange transportation.

Question

Answer

El Salvador has tropical weather. In December temperature ranges from 29 °C (85 °F) during the day to 16 °C (62 °F) at night.

Question

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes. Cardedeu Hotel is located in the same venue where the ceremony and reception will take place. To book a room please reach out to the Reservation Center via WhatsApp at +503-7856-6504. Don't forget to mention the code for the wedding SHEER-HERNANDEZ to receive a 10% discount on the room. Cardedeu has three different properties where you can stay at the lake. Cardedeu Hotel, Cardedeu Residences, and Cardedeu Frontlake. The code SHEER-HERNANDEZ works for all three properties and booking can be done in the same way.

Question

Do the other Cardedeu properties offer transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

On the day of the event, Friday Dec. 15th 2023, you can arrange transportation from Cardedeu Residences and Cardedeu Frontlake to and from the venue (Cardedeu Events). You must arrange transportation at least 30 minutes in advance at the front desk.

Question

Should I stay in San Salvador or in Lago de Coatepeque?

Answer

It is up to you! El Salvador is known as "El Pulgarcito de America," the smallest country in Central America. You can go to the mountains, volcano, beach, and lake on the same day. However, on the day of the event we recommend you to stay at the lake, so you don't have to travel late at night. Besides the venue hotels, there are many Airbnb options.

Question

Will there be transportation back to San Salvador after the wedding reception?

Answer

Transportation back to the city will not be provided. However, you can arrange transportation with the drivers provided on the "Travel" tab in advance.

Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

It is formal/black tie. We encourage ladies to wear floor length gowns or evening dresses. Men can wear tuxedos or suit and tie.

Question

Can I bring a date (+1)?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
