Glad you asked! St. Augustine was founded in 1565 which makes it the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the contiguous United States (try saying that five times fast!). Walking through St. Augustine's streets, and interacting with the architecture, the cuisine and even the locals, you get the feeling that the city is a testament to history itself. It's nostalgic, romantic, and the surrounding beaches are lovely!
January is mild and dry. Average temperatures range between 50-70 degees F with nighttime temperatures dipping as low as the 40s. We encourage you to please pack accordingly ^^
Please visit the travel section on our website for details. There are several airports in Florida, but the closest ones are Jacksonville International Airport and Daytona Beach International Airport. Once you arrive, you can book rental cars, shuttle services, or use public transportation to get to St. Augustine
Our caterer is La Cocina which is Latin-inspired cuisine. We are doing buffet style and will be sure to include some vegetarian/vegan options if needed. Please let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions/allergies you have so we can accommodate for your needs :) We will also have an open bar available.
We request that guests submit their RSVP no later than 60 days prior to the wedding date (November 7, 2026). We will send out an additional reminder email prior to the deadline.
We encourage semi-formal/formal attire. Indian/Chinese semi-formal or formal attire is welcome, but by no means mandatory. The bride will be wearing a red lehenga (Indian outfit consisting of a blouse and flared skirt), so as long as you're not also wearing a bridal lehenga, please wear whatever color you'd like! The entirety of the wedding will be held indoors.
Our wedding day coincides with the annual 'Night of Lights' Christmas light event that takes place in St Augustine from November-January. Although our wedding is on a Thursday, hotel prices, parking, and traffic volume is anticipated to be higher than normal. We recommend ubering, carpooling, or walking if possible from your hotel to the venue as on-site parking is restricted to wedding vendors.
If you would like a plus one and you haven't been provided with one please reach out to either Mitchel or myself and we will be happy to see if we can make this accommodation possible!
