The quote by Lemony Snicket couldn’t ring more true for Michael or for me. Life has always seemed to throw us the oddballs, the hardships that seem to only find us. Life is strange, and fate even more so. However, without the fates or life playing its hand within our lives I doubt we would have ever found each other. The more we got to know each other, the more we found that we were always so close to each other, but so far away at the same time. They say that what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger. It will make you a wiser and a kinder person and that seems to be the truth of it. We both have had our hearts broken by those that we thought we could trust and love fully. While it may have made some people bitter and untrusting, it has simply made us more understanding in our love for each other. We know how the other feels by simply glancing at each other, by the way, that we put something down we know if we need that extra ‘I love you.’ to be said, or for an extra tight hug. We have loved each other in our past lives, our current lives, and will always love each other in our future lives.
