Rivanna Trail
The trail wraps around Charlottesville. We recommend walking or running the portion near Riverview Park and ending at the Wool Factory for coffee/pastries or beer!
Ragged Mountain Natural Area
A scenic walk/hike around a reservoir. Kayaks are also available for rent. ~6 mile loop
Humpback Rocks Loop via Appalachian Trail
Our favorite hike within 35 mins of Charlottesville! Hike along parts of the Appalachian Trail and enjoy the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 4.2 mile loop. We recommend starting the hike via the steep 1 mile incline and then finishing with the 3.2mi decline.
Historic Downtown
Explore Historic Downtown Charlottesville known as the Mall. Lots of cute shops and restaurants.
Monticello
Schedule a tour and "Do whatever the hell it is you do in Monticello?" (cue Hamilton song)
Golf at Birdwood
Birdwood is UVA's home course.

The vineyards near Charlottesville are so fun! We recommend King Family, Pippin Hill, Veritas, and Mount Ida!
Devils Backbone Brewery
Great local brewery. We love the Basecamp location near Wintergreen Ski Resort. The Outpost location is in town.
