Question

A ceremony outside in winter? Brr!

Answer

We look forward to a meaningful ceremony amongst the megaliths at the Columcille Megalith Park, just a short 5 minute drive from the Stroudsmoor Inn. Please anticipate a short (<5 minute), snowy walk to the ceremony site and a brief period outdoors in winter weather. All guests will be supplied with a warm cloak to wear and are encouraged to wear snow boots for safe walking in the snow. The Stroudsmoor can have your fancy shoes waiting for you at Terraview if you wish to change for the reception. Extra layers, coats, hats, gloves are encouraged for keeping warm after photos are taken! In case of blizzard or other hazardous weather, alternate ceremony locations on site at Terraview will be utilized instead.

Question

A feast you say?

Answer

Yes, a feast! Please join us at the Terraview after the ceremony for a cocktail hour and warm drinks by the fire. We will proceed into the Conservatory for a feast afterwards. There will not be dancing at the reception, and other traditional reception moments may not be present in our celebration. We welcome guests to think of a blessing or intention for our marriage to share at our special ceremony at the feast.

Question

What about the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

There will not be a rehearsal dinner for our small group of celebrants. We will have an optional wine tasting in Stroudsburg the evening of February 14th for those that wish to toast the bride and groom.

Question

What type of ceremony will you be having?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a mix of all of the spiritual practices in our lives. A little Jewish, a little magic, a little agnostic.

Question

Wait, where's the registry?

Answer

We will not be having a registry for our wedding. We have been together for 10 years and have accumulated all of the home goods that we need in our house already. We welcome gifts of cash to support our honeymoon to Japan. We especially welcome donations to charitable organizations in our names.
