The Barbecue Festival is scheduled to take place downtown the same weekend as our wedding. If you get into town early or are looking for something to do after the reception feel free to hit up one of the biggest events in Owensboro!

The International Barbecue Festival

Located right behind the hotels, you have access to the newly redone River Front. Do not hesitate to take a walk around our beautiful downtown and maybe enjoy some ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery while you are at it.

New to the Owensboro, Brew Bridge is a locally owned brewery that community has quickly recognized as a go to.

Moonlite is a local gem that has delivered world renowned BBQ for the past 70 years. They are best known for their mutton, ham, and brisket. Grab some food to-go before leaving town!

This is the world's only museum dedicated to bluegrass music and history. There are interactive exhibits, instrumental demonstrations, costumes, you name it. Stay on the lookout for potential concerts popping up over the weekend of the wedding
