We first met over the summer of 2004 at a summer camp called Future Leaders of America. Later that year when we started high school we became friends and instantly developed a huge crush on each other. We were too shy to do anything about it so we continued on as friends, and finally in college he asked me on a date. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see things through because we both transferred to different four year universities. We remained friends, and would connect through social media but never had the opportunity to connect in person. After graduating we both moved back to our hometown Ojai and ran into each other at a mutual friends party. When we saw each other we couldn't help but gravitate towards one another and have been inseparable since.

In May of 2021 we planned a trip to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate my birthday. We spent the days drinking by the pool, exploring Cabo and eating amazing cuisine. On the second night he made a reservation at the one of the resorts restaurants. When we checked in for our reservation the hostess walked us towards the beach and I noticed a private table set up surrounded by rose petals and candles. He said the dinner was my birthday gift and I didn't think much more of it. When we finished having dinner he asked our waiter to take a photo of us and during the photo he grabbed my hand, turned me to face him and dropped down on one knee. Everything was perfect.
