Elizabeth and I first met at the University of Kentucky through a number of mutual friends and several shared classes as we both majored in Accounting. Throughout our junior and senior year, Elizabeth was often the first person I texted with the classic "Did you do the homework" text. Of course, being Elizabeth, she always came through and lent a helping hand to bail me out of my procrastinating ways. Our relationship remained friendly, flipping between snapchats and flirtatious games of 8-ball virtual pool. Eventually, after being good friends and classmates, a fateful invite to Elizabeth's ADPi spring formal in February of 2017 brought us together for good. Unfortunately for us, together for good didn't always mean together in the same city. Following graduation, the summer was spent making the trek up and down I-71 between Northern Kentucky and Louisville, spending quite literally every weekend together between Graduation and my move to Charlotte. Elizabeth started her Masters in Accounting at UK in the fall, and I moved to Charlotte in October, starting our 2.5 year long distance journey. Fortunately, the distance proved no match, and through thousands of hours on FaceTime, many airline miles and long weekend rendezvous, we made it work! I was able to relocate to Cincinnati in January of 2020, and bought a house that March, giving us a great spot to weather the COVID quarantine. After spending a year and a half in the same city, and enjoying life without flights or long facetimes in between, I proposed on the rooftop at the Lytle Park Hotel on May 21, 2021. We celebrated after with friends and family and look forward to starting this next chapter of our life together. We've spent the weeks and months since wedding planning and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate with everyone on September 24th!
