Our story began right around the corner from home. We met when I was in grade school and Kyle lived on the street next to mine. At the time, our connection was nothing more than a neighborhood friendship, and we never imagined that one day it would turn into something more. We were completely unaware that fate already had a plan in motion. Years later, after I graduated high school from one simple text message changed everything. While Kyle was working out of state in Florida, he asked if I would fly out to see him. I didn’t say yes to the flight—but I did say yes to a date once he returned home to Wisconsin. In 2016, we spent our very first date together at Rainbow Beach in Neenah, and from that moment on, everything felt different. What began as a simple friendship quickly grew into something deeper, and after that first date, Kyle returned to Wisconsin for good—closing the distance and opening the next chapter of our lives together. In 2018, we got engaged, knowing that what we had found was rare and worth holding onto. Now, in 2026, we’re finally tying the knot and celebrating a love story that had been written long before we ever recognized it.
