Transportation to Venue
Car Rental: Cost Effective/Reliable Per wedding planner (Italian who lives at venue) and personal experience, rental cars are highly suggested and easy to pick up at airports (Expedia and other travel sites). Waze works seamlessly. Driving Service: More Expensive/Hassle Free Drivers may be available if prearranged. Can be more expensive, recommend getting a group together to split costs. Ubers are only available in major cities and cannot be relied upon. Public Transportation: Cheapest/Most Unreliable There is a train service from Florence Airport to Lucca (city center). Trains can be unreliable and may not have AC. Train station in Lucca is 20-25 min from venue.
