The town of Telluride is approximately: 8,750 feet. The Mountain Village is a little higher at 9,500 feet. Please plan accordingly for elevation change and be aware of the affects it could potentially have on your body.
There are two areas: Telluride town or the Mountain Village. We have always stayed in the town of Telluride. However, there aren't many hotels in the town of Telluride. Plenty of airbnbs. We will be providing blocked room options for a couple of hotels in the Mountain Village area. There are airbnb options in the Mountain Village as well.
Our wedding ceremony will be outside at the San Sophia Overlook. The reception will be indoor and outdoor at Gorrono Ranch.
To get to the ceremony, you will be taking the main gondola. You can take this gondola from both the Telluride Town and the Mountain Village. Please be advised: This is the only way to get to the ceremony. A bus will be taking guests from the ceremony to the reception at Gorrono Ranch. Buses will be transporting all guests from Gorrono Ranch to Station Market Plaza Gondola Station when reception ends. Guests can either use the free gondola, use the Dial- A - Ride, walk or set up transportation from this drop off point.
Sunday- Thursday: 6:30 am - Midnight. Friday & Saturday: 6:30 am - 2 am. Please give yourself a 20 minute buffer.
Our wedding attire is: semi-formal
Telluride in the Summer ranges between 70-80 degrees. The nights will turn cool, usually in the 50-60's. You are closer to the sun due to elevation so the sun can be more intense and can at times feel warmer than these average temperatures.
There are a couple of options for airports. Montrose regional airport is 1.5 hours from Telluride. You can also fly into Durango which is 2 hours from Telluride. Lastly, if you want to make a road trip out of it, flying into Denver and driving the beautiful 6 hour drive.
There is a free gondola that runs all day. The gondola to and from Telluride Town to Mountain Village takes 12 minutes. You can also drive to the town of Telluride or to the mountain village. The drive time is around 15 minutes.

DIAL A RIDE is a shuttle service that will take you any where within the Mountain Village. To schedule a pick up/drop off call 970-728-8888.
Ubers in the mountain towns are next to zero. You will need to make travel arrangements: renting a car or hiring a driver/car company to take you to and from the airport.
We will have children close to the family be in attendance for the wedding ceremony. However, we have decided to have an adults only reception.
