We always say that we met at the right time. We both grew up in Newport and though we went to different schools, knew many of the same people and had lots of mutual friends. There must have been a birthday party or school dance that we both attended years ago, but we can never come up with the event. We finally officially met in November of 2016 when we were out at a local bar and Karl went to say hello to an old friend from school. That friend happened to be one of Elizabeth's oldest friends. We hit it off right away and talked for the rest of the night. We started dating shortly after that night. One of our favorite traditions is going to Bruins games together, so it should not have been a surprise that in October of 2019, we got engaged at the Bruins Opening Day. We then began the daunting task of planning a wedding to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family. Unfortunately, a few short months after our engagement, COVID hit and there were endless questions about what we would do.We didn't want to wait to be married, so with heavy hearts we decided to delay our reception, but hold a small ceremony on our original wedding date, November 6, 2020. While it was a beautiful day, there were many friends and family members we wished could have been there. We are so looking forward to seeing you and celebrating with the people we love most.
