We met on a good old dating app called Hinge coming out of the pandemic in May 2021. We had our first date at a local corner Philadelphia restaurant called Pub & Kitchen where we enjoyed some good drinks and terrible oysters that we still joke about to this day. We quickly learned that we had a lot in common! We went to the same college for undergrad and had many of the same mutual friends. So, while Pub & Kitchen was the first 'official' time we met, we're convinced we had crossed paths before. Over the next year and a half, our relationship grew as we adventured together to different places across the country, found new hobbies such as skiing, experienced the excitement (& heartbreak) of Philadelphia sports games, and became roommates together in University City. When an Eagles Tour got "cancelled" in January 2023, Jay and I found we had an entire Friday afternoon to ourselves in Philadelphia. We hopped between our favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch and Pub & Kitchen for drinks. Jay had only a slight panic attack when we showed up an hour early to Pub & Kitchen and they were closed! But, we killed time at another bar and still made it there, enjoying drinks in nearly the exact same seats we first met. After leaving, we ventured down the nearby Addison Street where Jay asked me to be his wife. Shocked, I think I managed to say yes before too many tears started :) We're looking forward to celebrating this next milestone of marriage with all of you in October! We know it will be a very special day and cherish the opportunity to spend it with you.
