We are so excited that you are not only traveling to our country, but to Medellín, Colombia. Medellín is very welcoming and tourist-friendly, and we know you will have an incredible time exploring it.

As with any international destination, we simply recommend being mindful of your surroundings. If you take an Uber, we suggest selecting cash instead of credit card to help prevent any potential fraud. It’s also helpful to know that U.S. dollars are generally not accepted in the city, so purchases are made using Colombian pesos. You can exchange money before your trip or easily do so at the airport upon arrival. While many larger establishments accept credit cards, smaller shops, taxis, and local businesses often operate cash only, so having some Colombian currency on hand is always a good idea. Your comfort and safety are very important to us, and we want you to enjoy every moment of your time here. 
Please bring a coat or cover up for the wedding. It does get cold at night.
