Ah yes, our love story begins like this: Elizabeth and myself both happened to be skiing in the Swiss Alps at the time of our first encounter. I had fallen down a steep slope. She had seen me and decided to come and help me up, and then we proceeded together down through the long and winding ski trail back to the resort. We shared a cup of hot cocoa, she nursed my wounds, and the rest is history…..NOT! You see, it always seems like most people tend to meet when they are out and about: at the bar, the casino, the bingo hall, work place, the circus perhaps. But for me and Liz, our first meeting wasn’t anything like the Hallmark story above. Believe it or not, we both “swiped right,” and the rest is history. Yes, family and friends, Tinder brought us together on October 8th, 2017. We went out on our first date on November 5th, 2017 at El Mezcal in Wausau, and made it official almost a month later on December 2nd at the Lakeland Cinema in Minocqua. We have been together for four and a half years now, and I proposed to Liz last year on June 24th at the tip of the Keweenaw peninsula near Copper Harbor in Michigan, while we were out enjoying one of our favorite hobbies: searching for agates and amethyst on the beach.
