The red brick path you see inlaid on Boston sidewalks leads you on a 2.5-mile path of American Revolutionary sites. It takes you on a unique collection of museums, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers, literally laying out colonial history on the streets.
A museum founded by Isabella Stewart Gardner, whose will called for her art collection to be permanently exhibited "for the education and enjoyment of the public forever". It houses Elizabeth's favorite painting, El Jaleo, by John Singer Sargent.
