Elizabeth and Jon met at 15 and 17, one, very cold, winter night in McDonalds. Jon had just arrived with a group of friends, and Elizabeth was there waiting for a friend to get off work before heading to a sleepover. One coincidence after another, and a few crazy incidents at the McDonalds, and they started chatting up a storm. Jon and Elizabeth happened to be sitting facing one another, alone in their booths while everyone else sat as a collective group. After about an hour of chatting, Jon left his number on his receipt for Elizabeth, and off they went without even knowing each others' names. Later that night, they connected on a phone call and exchanged their information. They stayed in touch as best they could throughout the coming months. Over the summer, they eventually ran into each other once more at Quality Foods, where Jon was working. Elizabeth had always assumed Jon had worked at another Quality Foods, because she had never seen him there before, even though it was just blocks away from her home. When they crossed paths that day, Elizabeth had already been hired there, but hadn't yet had her first shift. Only by coincidence did they run into each other, sparked by a nearly-forgotten item on the other end of the store. From that moment on, they began pursuing each other, saw each other nearly every shift at work, and committed to each other a few months later on October 18th, 2017. Over the last 8, almost 9 years, they have stuck by each others' side. Both have graduated high school, university and college, survived commuting for 4 years of living away for university, many jobs, travels, and ups and downs with friends and family. In 2025, they bought their first home together, after years of hard work, and finally got to be together after long distance. Elizabeth finished university, and they moved into their new home the following day. A few months later, on July 16th, 2025 Jon proposed, and they were happily engaged and began wedding planning. They cannot wait to celebrate this next milestone with you by their side in August 2026!
