A great photo opportunity with beautiful colors of the city! There are many theories as to why they are their beautiful pastel colors, including helping drunken sailors find their way home. It is right off of the Battery which is a great walking spot to take in views of the water!
The Battery
Park along the battery for free and enjoy a beautiful walk taking in sights of the water, boats, and large waterfront properties. Keep your eyes peeled for a dolphin sighting!
Pineapple Fountain
Continue walking on the trail of the battery and you will run into the famous Pineapple Fountain. It is a classic Charleston photograph and a beautiful park to check out. Walk down to the pier where you can swing on bench swings while taking in the view.
USS Yorktown CV-10
Take a tour on the USS Yorktown! It is a famous aircraft carrier that served in the US Navy during World War II.
Charleston Market
Check out some local vendors at Charleston City Market. Vendors sell touristy souvenirs and local crafts. There are great restaurants and it is in the heart of the city! Make sure you grab a delicious praline from the candy stores nearby!

A great seafood restaurant! Make sure you try their loaded hushpuppies and she crab soup!
The Watch Rooftop Kitchen and Spirits
A great spot for delicious cocktails and a great view of Charleston from high up. It is also located in a beautiful hotel and is right off King Street which is where the stores are!
The Darling Oyster Bar
We fell in love with this restaurant while visiting Charleston! We love sitting at their raw bar and chatting with the shuckers. It is delicious seafood, especially their raws!
Leon's Poultry and Oyster
We absolutely love this restaurant. It is local vibes with our favorite fried chicken and chargrilled oysters. Finish off your meal with their soft serve ice cream!
Charleston Beer Works
Great spot to try some local beers on King Street around restaurants and stores.
