FAQ

The Wedding Website of Elizabeth Fernwood and Joel Salem
Surprise! You are going to sing us both down the aisle on our big day! Please see attached document for lyrics which we will hand out the day of the wedding. The two songs are "Chapel of Love" by the Dixie Cups and "Landslide" (The Chicks version, though!). Please practice and come ready to sing your heart out!

Our SF Faves

SF has tons of options for all kinds of activities! From beautiful beaches to delicious restaurants, there is something for everyone. We would love if you took some time to explore a handful of our favorite spots in the area! Check out a small compilation of food spots and outdoorsy spots we love in the area.

Dress Code Recommendations

Our wedding's theme is "A cowgirl's cosmic 80's dream" and would love for you to join the fun! Feel free to dress in 80s glam or Cosmic Cowpoke vibes — or simply come in whatever makes you feel fabulous and comfortable. Wear the same outfit to the ceremony and the reception if you'd like! If you are shopping in our area before the wedding, we recommend the Haight & Ashbury area of San Francisco, Aubergine Vintage Emporium in Petaluma, Thrifty Hippy Thrift Store in Petaluma, Stella's in San Anselmo and Hospice Hodgepodge in San Rafael. Think sparkles, bold colors, 80's prom, cowboy boots, bolo ties, "Napolean Dynamite" Prom with a western flare, or your own creative spin on the theme. Participation is totally optional — we can’t wait to celebrate with you either way! Where is our wedding?

We will be having the ceremony at Samuel P. Taylor Park in Marin County, CA. The reception will follow at Sleepy Hollow Clubhouse in San Anselmo, CA. There is limited parking at the ceremony location. If you have a full car (4+ people) and are already exploring the area we welcome you to drive. For those that are not carpooling, please reach out to Joel directly about a shuttle from the reception area.
