Please join the girls in celebrating their marriage.

As mentioned in the original rendition of the website, the girls said they were considering a cross country move. Well, the time is here and they have decided that they will be moving! To where, they do not yet know, but they have narrowed it down to either Chicago, Illinois so that Elizabeth can attend The University of Chicago or Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they discern between the two places and make a decision on where they will end up in just a few months!

In 2015, Elizabeth and Jennifer just so happened to be at the senior prom together due to boys (bleh!) who they attended the 'big night' alongside in small-town Kansas. Who would have thought, over eight years later, that the girls would finally connect after the many shared events and timelines that inconveniently never connected them together? (They have Hinge to thank for that.) The girls continued dating, and Elizabeth grew impatient. On December 18, 2022, Elizabeth couldn't help but blurt out, "When are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?" after several months of dating. Jennifer replied, "Well, I was going to soon, but I guess I can now!" Jennifer told Elizabeth not to mention the date of the event, though, as it was coincidentally also her parents' wedding anniversary. Apologies for the stolen valor, Karen and Ben! Nearly two Novembers later in 2024, the girls anxiously visited many jewelers and picked out engagement rings, as they were ready to commit to a lifetime together through trials, triumphs, and mostly a WHOLE lot of laughter and dancing. Thankfully, the girls have been together ever since--and this brings us to today--in preparing for their wedding. They would be so grateful if you, as important individuals in their lives, would attend their wedding in Wichita, Kansas on May 24, 2026.

Jennifer and Elizabeth are facing an exciting time, but it is undoubtedly one of many possible changes and outcomes. As Elizabeth and Jennifer's love of the community has only grown, so has Elizabeth's desire to serve the community in a different way. Through many prayers, discernment and discussion, and lots of coffee together, the girls have decided that now is the time for Elizabeth to apply to attend seminary so that Elizabeth might work as a minister or chaplain, and they are awaiting admissions decisions from several different places. Please continue praying for the girls as they consider moving across country (for just a few years) so that Elizabeth might move on from her career as a middle school teacher and into a graduate program that will prepare her for a lifetime of service beyond teaching (Elizabeth is grieving the potential loss of her role teaching 6th graders at PVMS. She knows she is biased, but it really is the best middle school ever.) This also means that Jennifer is considering her own professional career, whether she might stay at her current company or consider others, and she is excited by the potential opportunity to gain new engineering and procurement experience in HVAC or in a new field. They request prayers, support, and good vibes as they navigate this very exciting time of unknowns. They will post updates here once they have decided whether a move or staying here in Wichita is the best choice for Jennifer, Elizabeth, and their dog, Mandy.
