Cody was Liz and Jeff’s college advisor at Marietta College and the very first person they called after getting engaged. He is truly the only person they could imagine marrying them—and they’re still not sure what the backup plan would’ve been if he had said no. As an advisor, Cody went above and beyond, making sure Liz graduated on time, guiding her through grad school applications, and even serving on her thesis committee. While Cody was a top-tier advisor, he’s an even better friend, and having him officiate this day means more to Liz and Jeff than words can fully capture.
Beth Reed
Mother of the Bride
Beth is Elizabeth’s mom and truly one of a kind. She’s funny, charismatic, and endlessly generous, always putting others before herself and doing absolutely anything for the people she loves. She brings energy, warmth, and a whole lot of personality into every room she enters. While she rudely declined being Elizabeth’s Maid of Honor, there’s no question she holds that role in spirit every day. Elizabeth is endlessly grateful for her mom’s love, support, and larger-than-life presence.
William Reed

William is Elizabeth’s dad and a constant source of love, kindness, and quiet strength. At first glance, he may seem reserved—but once you get to know him, you’ll quickly realize he’s one of the funniest people in the room. He’s generous, deeply caring, and the reason Elizabeth inherited her lifelong love of animals. Fiercely protective of the people he loves, William has always been a steady, grounding presence, and Elizabeth couldn’t be more grateful to have him by her side on this day.
Beth Mitchell
Mother of the Groom
Beth has been a constant source of love, support, and guidance throughout Jeffrey’s life, while also being his best friend. They talk almost every day, and she’s the first person he turns to for updates on life, milestones, and everything in between. Beth shows up without hesitation, puts family first, and brings a steady, calming presence to every situation. Some of Jeffrey’s favorite moments are spent simply doing nothing together, enjoying each other’s company. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering encouragement have played a major role in shaping the person he is today.
Shawn Mitchell
Father of the Groom
Shawn has been a steady presence and a lifelong role model for Jeffrey. One of their favorite traditions is golfing together every Sunday—something Jeffrey looks forward to each week. While Shawn hasn’t claimed a win in a while, he shows up every time with a great attitude and a competitive spirit. Over the years, he’s taught Jeffrey countless lessons, both on and off the course, leading by example with patience, integrity, and quiet determination. They also share a deep love of food and are always planning their next meal together, turning even the simplest moments into time well spent.
Alyssa Shawger
Maid of Honor
Liz met Alyssa during her senior year of college (Alyssa’s junior year) at Marietta College, thanks to Alyssa dating Jeff’s college roommate and being on the golf team with them. Thankfully, what started as a convenient overlap turned into a lifelong friendship. Alyssa is one of Liz’s favorite people—sweet, hilarious, and a true strong, independent woman. She brings warmth, laughter, and good vibes wherever she goes, and Liz couldn’t imagine this day without her.
Devin Webster
Best Man
Devin was one of the very first people to welcome Jeff when he arrived at Marietta, introducing himself after hearing Jeff was joining the golf team. From day one, Devin made a point to include Jeff—whether it was team events, trips, or the occasional questionable college decision. They somehow ended up rooming together on nearly every golf trip, which became less of a coincidence and more of a superstition. They’ve collected plenty of unforgettable (and permanently classified) college memories along the way. Thankfully, Devin has continued to be part of Jeff’s live and even joined the family on their annual Cape Cod vacation.
Lauren Mitchell

Lauren is Jeff’s sister and Liz’s soon-to-be sister, which still feels very surreal (and very exciting). Fun fact: Liz was mildly terrified of Lauren when she and Jeff first started dating, though in fairness, Lauren was 17, and teenage girls are objectively intimidating. Over the years, Lauren has grown into an incredible, well-rounded, strong, independent woman, and Liz feels so grateful to be gaining such an amazing sister. She can’t wait to have Lauren by her side on her wedding day.
Austin Meese
Groomsman
Austin was another one of Jeff’s first friends at Marietta and his roommate for two of the three years he was there. They built no shortage of memories together, from late nights and game days to plenty of moments that probably shouldn’t be documented. He introduced Jeff to the gym and helped teach Jeff the fundamentals of working out, which stuck with him long after college. Whether they were lifting, gaming, watching football, or cooking unreal dinners in the community kitchen, Austin was always part of the routine.
Alex Kessler
Bridesmaid
Alex is Elizabeth’s cousin and someone she’s been lucky to grow up alongside. She’s equal parts sweet and spirited, with a personality that makes every gathering more fun. Alex is a strong, independent woman who brings so much love and laughter into Elizabeth’s life. She’s also the mom of their sweet and sassy flower girl, Lucy, which makes having her by Elizabeth’s side on this day even more special.
Ryan Hite
Groomsman
Jeff has known Ryan since sixth grade, when their two elementary schools merged, and they hit it off right away thanks to a shared love of sports and music. Over the years, that turned into countless great memories—wing nights at Panini’s, watching the 2016 Cavs games and championship run, and walking the streets of Cleveland with thousands of fans after the title win. From CYO basketball and pickup games at the old Willoughby Senior Center to watching SportsCenter in the atrium during study hall at Lake Catholic, Ryan has been a constant through every phase.
Garrett Yant
Groomsman
Garrett is one of Jeff’s newest friends, and they met back in 2021 at Park Place when they were both fresh out of college starting their first real jobs, where they still work today. These two quickly bonded over their shared love of golf, which naturally turned into a highly competitive rivalry. Any time they play, there’s always something on the line, and while Garrett talks a strong game, history shows he has a tendency to come up short when the pressure’s on.
Anna Carter

Anna is Jeff’s cousin, Wesley’s mom, and one of Liz’s absolute favorite people. She’s kind, hilarious, and the type of person who makes everyone around her feel welcome. Whether she’s making everyone laugh or simply showing up for the people she loves, Anna has a way of making every moment a little brighter. Liz is so grateful that what started as family has grown into such a meaningful friendship. Having Anna by their side — and getting to watch Wesley walk down the aisle as one of their ring bearers — makes their wedding day even more special.
Collin Gladen
Groomsman
Collin is Jeff’s youngest cousin, and some of Jeff’s favorite memories with him come from family gatherings that quickly turned into full-contact backyard football games. When they weren’t outside, they were inside competing in marathon matchups of 2K, Madden, and Mario Kart, no mercy given. They also shared a memorable trip to Detroit, capped off by watching the Indians take on the Tigers at Comerica Park, an experience neither of them will forget.

Mindy is Jeff’s cousin, Anna’s sister, and the proud mom of one of our ring bearers, Dominic. She is one of the kindest and most generous people Liz has ever met, with a heart that always puts others first. If you’re lucky enough to be invited to one of Mindy’s dinners, you’ll quickly discover she’s also an incredible cook—a talent her family is probably a little spoiled by! Liz feels so grateful to have gained such a wonderful friend through Jeff’s family and is so excited to have Mindy standing by her side on their wedding day.

Flower Girl
Lucy is the flower girl and the spunky, cutie-patootie daughter of Alex. At four years old, she brings big personality, sweet sass, and an impressive amount of charm to the day. Lucy is very excited about her important role and is guaranteed to steal hearts (and possibly the spotlight).
Dominic & Wesley
Ring Bearer
Wesley and Dominic are the ring bearers and already take their jobs very seriously (or at least very enthusiastically). Wesley is the son of Anna and Josh Carter and is a lovable, spunky three-year-old who’s full of joy, curiosity, and everything a toddler should be obsessed with. Dominic is the son of Mindy and Nick Bubon and, at almost two years old, is as sweet as can be. Together, they bring extra smiles, laughter, and a little bit of chaos - exactly what makes the day even more special.
