After braving the dating app scene, we both swiped right on each other's profiles, though both of our profiles had photos neither of us wants to ever see again. We had our first date at Salem's own Riverfront park, where we racked up some steps and kept the chatter going. Who knew one could talk about Pokemon for so long? Luckily, our siblings also provide more than enough stories and trauma to unpack over more than few dates. The dates were deemed a success, and by our third date, Jared was meeting parents and the relationship was defined. After almost a year and half of weekly visits, various movie marathons and family and relationship milestones, Jared proposed in January of 2026. Here's to that nerdy, forever kind of love :-D
