Best Man
If you find it hard to see Seth during the wedding, it’s mostly like because he’s been in my shadow ever since middle school. Seth likes to say that I stole his spotlight when I joined the band program because I was funnier and more popular than he was. This is all completely true. But similar to adopting a stray dog you found on the streets, I took Seth under my wing and carried him up through all of my successes and popularity to this day. Despite him never getting the spotlight I was given, Seth has been my closest friend since we were babies in middle school. We’ve been through each other's highs and lows, and I truly couldn’t imagine not having him right next to me on this milestone day.
Matron of Honor
Sarah, also commonly referred to as "Weavy," has been a dear friend since my freshman year at UF eight years ago. A fellow Gator Band member and Tampa resident, Sarah and I have been through it all side by side. We've been known to spend countless hours attending Hip Hop Fitness classes and having the best car conversations. Sarah is a hero of a nurse, the best baker, and a loving wife/mother with the biggest heart.
Groomsman
One thing to know about Drew is that he's wildly competitive and never likes coming in 2nd place. This is why being drum majors with me at UF was such a difficult time for him. I was like the Simon and he was the Garfunkel if Garfunkel was completely tone deaf. Yet, despite my clear place in the spotlight and his shocking lack of talent, we've stayed close friends for years now. If you like talking about the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gator sports, or how to repair power lines, please go find him.
Bridesmaid
Holly is a true gem of a human. Wife of groomsmen Drew, Holly and I often wonder why we settled for co-Gator Band drum majors Drew and Howard. Holly has a terminal case of the Sunday Scaries, but is the hardest worker you'll ever meet. She is caring, kind, and an undercover comedian. She is the absolute best listener and is someone I know I can come to with anything!
Groomsman
Kyle is the best and worst kind of person and I’ll tell you why. Kyle has always been the devil on my shoulder convincing me to buy expensive camera equipment or random Apple products. If I'm in deep, deep debt in a few years and living on the streets in an Apple MacBook box, I will blame Kyle and only Kyle. Even with his terrible influence, I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be where I am in my professional career without his help, advice, and enthusiasm. Kyle was one of my biggest influencers and supported me to pursue photography/videography in college, and I owe so much of my success to him.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I basically spent all four years of undergrad at UF jointly. As back-to-back-to-back-to-back roommates and sisters of the same sorority, we could not not be together even if we wanted to be, which was never. A few of her favorite things include Coca Cola, chips and queso, and skeletal remains (in the super cool, forensic sense). Rachel will do anything for her friends and you can always count on her to make you laugh.
Groomsman
Do not….I repeat do NOT be fooled by Tyler. Is he one of the nicest and genuinely caring people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting? Absolutely. Have we had famously long multiple hour talks about life, family, and career that I hold close to my heart til this day? 100%. But right when you put all your trust and love in this man, Tyler will roast you with a perfectly crafted insult in front of all of your family, friends, and loved ones like a chestnut on an open fire. Which is convenient because he can then put out that fire because he’s a firefighter.
Bridesmaid
Amanda was my other "random roomie" my freshman year at UF and I am forever grateful that we found each other. In college, our favorite modes of transportation were her Vespa for our many trips around Gainesville (including a sketchy Walmart or two) and my Mazda, often commuting to and from Tampa to see our significant others. Amanda makes the best Christmas cookies, will eat popcorn for any meal, and cannot see a dog without stopping to say hello. She is one of the sweetest people you'll meet and is always there when you need her!
Groomsman
I've been really fortunate that Zach and I have gotten closer throughout the years. From theme park trips, late night video games, Gator Band, and literally living together in college, I've gotten to know him really well. Now do I like everything about him? Not a chance. He's the kind of guy that would push a sweet, little girl out of his way in order to reach the ice cream truck first. I've sneezed at least 100 times around him and I have still NEVER heard a "Bless You" from him. I once saw him send a Venmo REQUEST to the charity. Yet, the very few things I do enjoy about Zach, like his ability to make me laugh uncontrollably, and him being one of the biggest supporters of Elizabeth and I's relationship, are exactly why I'm so happy to have him as one of my groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
To put it simply, Stephanie, also commonly referred to as "Phanie," is quite literally my other brain cell. We spent two years together in Gator Band and she quickly became the older sister I never had. Not to mention, Stephanie is the reason Howard and I became friends - thanks pal. :) She is a lover of all things Disney and you will often find her with an iced coffee or Chick-Fil-A. Stephanie is the definition of selfless, and is one of the most charismatic people you will ever meet.
