This little haunt has pretty much remained the same since it opened in 1951. One of the oldest running bars in downtown Savannah, Pinkie’s continues its presence as a place to get cheap PBR’s, listen to great music from the juke box, and – most importantly – host some really colorful patrons. Pinkie’s has seen politicians, celebrities of all types, and regulars that convene almost every day to have a beer and reconnect. Pinkie Masters is as much a fabric of the history of Savannah as any place in the historic district.
Forsyth Fountain is one of the most iconic Savannah landmarks. The fountain was manufactured by the same iron foundry which also created iron work for the U.S. Capitol Building dome and railings for the Brooklyn Bridge. The fountain appears in many films, including The Longest Yard, Cape Fear,[9] Forrest Gump and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
