Flight
LaGuardia Airport is the closest and easiest option, roughly 35 to 45 minutes to the Glen Cove Mansion, and the airport we'd recommend.
Flight
JFK is our second choice — about 55 minutes to an hour and fifteen, depending on traffic.
Flight
Newark is an option, though we wouldn't recommend it. The airport sits on the far side of New York City, and the drive takes at least an hour and forty-five minutes and considerably more during rush hour.
Train
For New York City guests, the LIRR's Oyster Bay Branch stops in Locust Valley, about five minutes from Piping Rock, and in Glen Cove, just minutes from the Glen Cove Mansion. Trains run from Penn Station, Grand Central Station, and Atlantic Terminal, with a short transfer at Jamaica, and the ride takes a little over an hour.
Travel Note
Uber and Lyft operate here, but cars can be scarce late at night. For airport transfers and evening travel, we'd suggest booking a local car service in advance — Glen Cove Taxi, Locust Valley Taxi, and Arena Taxi are all reliable and dispatch 24 hours. We will have taxis waiting for guests following the Welcome Party at the Piping Rock Beach Club and will provide transportation to and from the Glen Cove Mansion on the wedding day. If you'd like to explore the area during the weekend, a rental car is the easiest option.
