It all began on our one year anniversary. Danny said my anniversary present was a surprise, and had something to do with Central Park. We took a car from our hotel to the park and began walking around. In my head I was thinking " Oh, wow, we are probably going on a romantic carriage ride". Then, Danny starts talking about how bad the pavement is for the horses ...so...no carriage ride 😂. As we continue walking, I notice Danny following an app on his phone. "We are going to Tavern On the Green for lunch. How exciting!" I'm thinking. As we continue walking we pass a goregous lake. Danny says, "let's stop and take a selfie, this is such a beautiful location." (Side note: I am obsessed with taking selfies of Danny and I). Of course I'm excited to get a photo of us right by the lake but there's a photographer there taking photos. I feel rude jumping in front of her field of view. Danny, on the other hand, jumps boldly in front of her and holds the phone up to take our photo. Feeling a bit embarrassed I say to Danny "ok, nice shot, let's go." Danny completely ignores this and boldly asks the lady we had just interrupted to take our photo. She kindly obliges and even encourages us to do a silly back to back photo. Then she asks us to turn around for one last photo. When I turned around Danny was down on one knee and said " Will you marry me?" I was so pleasantly surprised and stunned. I replied "What? Who me? Like forever? You want me to be your Wife forever?" Then I said yes, of course, and cried. I thanked the random photographer for taking our photos and by happenstance catching our engagement moment. She replied, "You're welcome. I'm your photographer for the day". I was floored. I am so loved. I appreciate the time and thoughtfulness Danny put into his proposal to me. And have you seen my ring? Darling...IT IS FABULOUS! But most importantly, I am so excited to become Danny's wife! We are looking forward to a long, happy, and prosperous life together.
