It was game night, board game night. Craig was a regular attendee and Elizabeth had just been invited for the first time of what would end up being many. One night, the last two people at the gathering were Craig and Elizabeth. They bonded over music and talked into the early hours of the morning. A camping trip, that consisted of Elizabeth, Craig, and another friend, left the three of them exhausted after completing the Cabin Trail at Linville Gorge where Craig and Elizabeth stayed up all night talking by the creek. Finally, Elizabeth hosted a game night. After everyone had left, Craig had stayed. Talking into the wee hours of the morning, they were standing in the kitchen when he put his hand up for a high-five and when she went to high-five him, he pulled her arm around his neck and kissed her for the first time. He then left to go on tour the next day. Elizabeth's "Birthday Christmas in July Party" was already a magical night with Craig and two other musicians offering to play live music, but this also happened to be the night when Craig told Elizabeth that he would like to take her on a date sometime. He was so confident. She was impressed. That night he won her heart.
After work. At home. On one knee. With a rose. He proposed. She said yes.
