Maid of Honor
Lauren and Lizzie met while working for Chicago Public Schools (JCP 4 Life) and she quickly inserted herself into Lizzie and Corey's relationship (love you, Gizmer). Lauren is easily the most loyal, dependable, and weirdest person you will ever meet. Lizzie's saddest part about moving out of Chicago was not living around the corner from her best friend anymore.
Matron of Honor
Bridget is Lizzie's middle sister and the scariest Deutsch sibling. Bridget is the world's biggest Cubs fan, a red wine lover, and the best mom to her girls. Lizzie was lucky enough to have Bridget to look up to as a role model growing up and is so blessed to have developed a friendship with her the older they have gotten.
Matron of Honor
Aimee is Lizzie's oldest sister and her favorite person to yap and giggle with. Aimee is a devoted boy-mom, an avid reader, and just the sweetest and most genuinely kind person you will ever meet. She is the best confidant a girl can have, and Lizzie feels so lucky to call her a sister and friend.
Bridesmaid
Lizzie and Michelle met in 2014. Lizzie forced Michelle to be friends with her when she joined UIC cross-country her freshman year (you should see the tweets and Facebook posts). From college teammates and roommates to now, Michelle has been a constant in Lizzie's life through all of the ups and downs of their 20's. Although she never reciprocates an "I love you" unless she's had a couple of beers, Michelle is a forever bestie.
Bridesmaid
Camila and Lizzie met when Lizzie and Corey started dating (what a time). Camila is the best hype girl but is also not afraid to tell you when you are being a little crazy (see years 2021-2023...and maybe a little of 2024). Although she is still not forgiven for moving to Colorado, Camila is always dependable and willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Just don't beat her during Settlers of Catan if you value your life.
Bridesmaid
Meghan is Lizzie's older sister. Lizzie is probably one of the only people that can make Meghan drop an F bomb (they were not meant to live under the same roof as adults), but Jane raised them to know that's the way Deutsch's show love. Meghan is compassionate, patient, and so kind to everyone she meets.
Bridesmaid
Mallory and Lizzie met in 2006 as wee 6th and 7th graders. Lizzie asked Mallory if she'd ever seen "Ricky Bobby" and the rest is history. Lizzie and Mallory do fit the stereotype of weird cross-country runners, but that's part of what makes their friendship so special. They've truly been there for each other for all of the ups and downs life has had to offer over the past 19 years.
Bridesmaid
Leah and Lizzie met in grad school (yikes). As crappy as grad school tended to be, Lizzie feels so grateful to have made a lifelong friend in Leah during this time. Somehow, they always found ways to laugh and have fun amid the chaos and lack of sleep that ensued during those two years. Lizzie and Leah have a friendship where they go through periods of not seeing each other for months and nothing changes. You can move back from Virgina now!
Bridesmaid
Lizzie and Mari met through Michelle back in college. Mari is the epitome of "to know her, is to love her" and she is the ultimate girl's girl. She is the most fun, loving, and ride-or-die friend that you can have. Life is never dull with Mari around, and Lizzie feels so grateful that they have been able to become closer over the past couple of years.
Best Man
Al and Corey met in Chicago when Corey first moved to the city from Ohio, and they have been best friends since. Whether it is waking up hungover to help friends move, arguing sports (and many other random topics) in Michael's, or making everyone in a Texas Roadhouse deeply uncomfortable, Al and Corey have shared the best experiences and memories together. Despite the fact that he is a Miami Dolphins fan, Al is actually a pretty cool guy
Groomsman
Kevin -- who goes by Wazzu to everyone but his wife -- is a spud loving, Arby's eating Idahoan who loves a good time and has questionable taste buds. Corey met Waz through Al in the early days of moving to Chicago and they became inseparable after. Waz is the centerpiece of a lot of the fun events the group would have. Playing beer die in his alley, golfing in the burbs, cooking out and coming up with terrible fantasy football punishments are just some examples of the events that he added his own special brand to
Groomsman
Jon is an anomaly in the friend group because he is genuinely a nice person. Jon always has the group laughing with his phrases (but I ain't no snitch) and comebacks when someone makes a joke at his expense. He and Corey share a love of soccer and have frequented maybe every soccer bar in Chicago to watch various games. Those hours of film study of course led to the success of their Fifa Pro Clubs team, EA PC FC
Groomsman
JOEY! JOEY! JOEY! Be prepared to hear chants for the group's most smiling and laughing member throughout the wedding. Joey and Corey have shared so many times being the only ones laughing as they do some stupid voice or quote something so obscure that no one knows what they are talking about. Also a member of EA PC FC, be sure to come up and introduce yourself to Joey at the wedding for a good time and some laughs. He will be the one starting the Joey chant
Groomsman
Have you ever run a marathon? Nate has. Have you ever eaten 9 hot dogs while drinking 9 beers in 9 innings at a baseball game? Nate has. Is your jumper wet and golf game on point? Nate's is. Nate is probably the coolest guy in the group, but also has some of the worst takes of all time which leads to some of the group's favorite stories to tell (still waiting to see if Lonzo Ball becomes the next Kevin Durant). Nate's best quality is actually that he is a Packers fan like Corey and Corey looks forward to watching many more playoff games with Nate in the future
Groomsman
If you love red wine, playing Call of Duty standing up and saying the most out of pocket things at the least likely times, then you will love Grant as much as Corey does. Always smiling and laughing his unique laugh, Grant was naturally destined for greatness because he sounds exactly like Patrick Mahomes. That football connection has led to some questionable fantasy bets before worse draft picks, but it's that eternal optimism that makes Grant so fun to be around
Groomsman
Koop (please don't listen to his wife Heather, Koop is his true government name) is Corey's oldest friend in Chicago and easily one of the best people that has entered his life. Koop will mock you to death and absolutely roast you with a perfectly timed quip, but he is one of the most loyal friends you can have. Corey and Koop have gone from working together at the sweat shop known as Keyence, to staying close after Koop moved from the city to the suburbs, to now supporting each other at each other's weddings. It's been a journey but they've gone through it as brothers
