One cold morning in December of 2023, Elizabeth's mom invited her to meet her at a Christmas party after work at the National Aviary. She said, "pack a change of clothes and meet us for a drink if you're not doing anything tonight!". At the last minute, Elizabeth threw a dress and a pair of boots in her bag and headed to work. By 2pm, her mom was texting her, "I found a date for you, he's really cute!" Elizabeth rolled her eyes and headed out to the Aviary after work. She was introduced to Coleman that night and it simply was love at first sight. Elizabeth offered to drop Coleman off at his friend's house where his car was parked and he asked her out on a real date for the very next night!
