What is the dress code?

Will the wedding be inside or outside?
Answer
The entire wedding will be held inside. Pending the weather, there is a deck at Raphael that guests can utilize throughout the reception.

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?
Answer
There should not be much lag time between the ceremony, seeing everyone out, and heading over to Raphael for the reception. Cocktail hour officially starts at 3 pm, but guests can start entering the venue at 2:30pm and have cocktails.

Will there be transportation?
Answer
Yes, we will be providing shuttle services to all events from the Hyatt Place on Main Road. The Preston House Hotel is directly across the street, so guests staying there can just walk over. Anyone staying in an Airbnb, VRBO, or another hotel can utilize the shuttle service by arriving to the Hyatt Place parking lot at the designated time (TBD). The shuttle will take guests to the ceremony at Our Lady of Good Counsel, stay through the ceremony, then take guests to Raphael for the reception. The shuttle will leave Raphael at 10 pm and take guests back to the Hyatt Place. There is parking at the church and valet at Raphael. Uber and Lyft are both accessbile in the area and we encourage guests to utilize our shuttle or these ride share apps over driving if possible.

What is the schedule of events?
Answer
We will be having a Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Good Counsel, followed by a "European style" wedding directly after. This means that we will have a 90 minute cocktail hour, followed by a 2 hour sit down dinner. After the dinner, we will have a dance reception from 6:30 pm- 10 pm. All guests must leave Raphael at 10 pm as the venue will close. We will be hosting an after party from 10:30 pm on at Jerry and the Mermaid on Main Road in Riverhead (walking distance to both the Hyatt Place and The Preston House).

Can I check into the hotel early to get ready?
Answer
Check-in is currently at 4 pm at both hotels. They said they will accommodate early check-ins if they can, but it's all determined by their sell-out. If unable to check in early, you can still get ready at the hotel in the gym locker rooms and the staff will hold your bags until your room is available. This may be after the wedding when you return to the hotel.

What if I have a food allergy?

For the sit down dinner, all food will be made to order and our venue can accommodate all food allergies.

Will this be the longest day ever?
Answer
Yes, this is a marathon, not a sprint! Everyone knows we love a good party and this will be no exception. We are looking forward to spending our special day with everyone and we will party accordingly!
