It all started on Bumble — and honestly, it almost didn’t happen. Elizabeth downloaded the app mostly as a joke, and her profile was only up for about twenty‑five minutes. But in that short window, Caleb happened to be online too. Looking back, the timing still feels a little unreal, and we’re grateful for how it worked out. Caleb noticed Elizabeth’s smile right away (especially in the red jumpsuit photo), and Elizabeth sent the first message: “Hi :)”. The conversation felt easy from the start. Our first date was at Harvest Moon Deli, where we talked over sandwiches and got a sense that this might be something real. More dates followed, including the day Caleb asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend — right after she called him back to help with her family’s very stubborn 2003 Nissan Sentra, which refused to start. Not the most glamorous moment, but definitely memorable. The first year of our relationship was mostly long‑distance while Elizabeth was away at college. We got to know each other through video chats, nightly phone calls, lots of train rides back to Maine, and Teleparty movie nights. It wasn’t always easy, but it brought us closer. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures, quiet nights in, and moments that turned us into not just partners, but best friends. In January 2024, Caleb proposed and received “the best birthday present he ever got” when Elizabeth said yes. And now we’re excited to celebrate with all of you, the people who’ve supported us from the very beginning… even in those first twenty‑five minutes!

From the very beginning, we’ve seen God’s hand in our story — from the unlikely timing of a twenty-five-minute dating profile to the countless moments that have deepened our love. We believe He made us for each other and brought us together exactly when we were meant to meet. Through seasons of long distance, late-night calls, and everyday life, we’ve prayed for guidance, patience, and joy and God has answered in ways more beautiful than we could have imagined. As we step into marriage, our greatest hope is to keep Him at the center of our relationship, trusting that the One who brought us together will continue to lead us through every chapter ahead.
