Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is recommended. Our cocktail hour is being held outside on the rooftop deck, weather permitting. Dinner and dancing will be held inside.

How Do I RSVP?

Answer

You will receive an invitation in the mail several months prior to the wedding date. Inside your invitation is an RSVP card. Fill out the card and mail it back to us. We will provide you with postage.

What Time Should I Arrive For The Ceremony?

Answer

Due to time restrictions at the chapel, we will begin promptly at 2:30 pm. Please arrive no earlier then 2:00PM and no later then 2:20 PM. Remember to allow plenty of time for traffic and parking.

Where Can I Park?

Answer

For your convenience, we recommend parking at the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage. Parking is complimentary for our wedding guests. The parking garage is a 7 minute walk to the chapel and a 2 minute walk to the reception.

What Can I Do Between the Ceremony and the Reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour starts at 4:00 pm. Between the ceremony and the reception, there are a variety of things to do. Pack a pair of comfy shoes and walk around the University of Pittsburgh campus, enjoy a drink at the Wyndham hotel bar, or grab a caffeine fix at Starbucks.

Are There COVID Regulations?

Answer

Yes, for both Heinz Chapel and The University Club. Heinz Chapel will require our guests to sign in upon arrival and wear a mask at all times indoors. Masks may be removed when seated at the tables. Social distancing is no longer in affect.

What is the Babushka Bridal Dance

Answer

As the brides family wedding tradition, the bride’s mother removes the veil and places a babushka on the bride’s head to symbolizes the bride is a married woman. Guest are invited to make a monetary donation to dance with the bride and then dance around the bride to a traditional Russian polka song.

How do we get to the Rivers Casino after the reception?

Answer

We will order a few Ubers at arrive at 8:45PM to transport the guests that would like to join us at the Rivers Casino. You may also order your own Uber and use our code for a cost-free ride.
