The town of Lake, Michigan is about 15 minutes north of Clare, Michigan.
The town is quite remote and does not always come up on GPS. The nearest town to search for Airbnb locations is Lake George, Michigan (5 minutes). You would also do well in the Farwell area (15 minutes).
If you prefer a hotel, we like the Doherty hotel in Clare, Michigan (25 minutes ). The hotel has a pool, a restaurant and is located on the main street of Clare with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
The closest airports are Flint, Michigan and Traverse City, Michigan. Both are about a one and a half hour drive but they are small. There is a slightly larger airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is a 2 hour drive. You will want a car. Within the community many people drive golf carts and there is a place to rent carts nearby.
We are working on a transportation service back to your location for those who do not want to drink and drive on Saturday night.
