Maid of Honor
A Sweet Message from Lindsay: Lizzy and I met at 16 through our shared love of swimming. As lane mates, we instantly clicked, pushing each other through early morning practices, tough sets, and countless laughs. We were inseparable, supporting one another through every meet and challenge. But life took us in different directions—Lizzy finished high school early and moved to Montana for university while I was still in Washington. The distance naturally pulled us apart, and for a while, our friendship became a cherished memory. Yet true friendship always finds its way back. Eventually, we reconnected, and it felt like no time had passed. Looking back, I’m so grateful—we picked up right where we left off, and now, I can’t imagine my life without her. From teammates to best friends, I’m honored to stand by her side on her special day.
Best Man
Blake and I first met in the student government office at Colorado State University. While people in those offices tend to care primarily about maintaining their political images, I quickly realized Blake was unlike the rest. Blake liked to get stuff done—and he liked to win. My favorite memories of Blake all involve him standing up for what he believes in. When the Mayor of Fort Collins wouldn’t work with us on student housing, Blake flew a plane with a banner behind it over campus encouraging students to vote on the important housing initiative. When a campus administrator tried to ostracize a group of young students for their political beliefs, Blake called that administrator to a higher standard and, in doing so, set the tone for the broader campus community. But a noticeable change occurred when Blake began not only believing in something—but in someone. When Blake started talking about this girl in Montana, I knew something was different. She was always the one for him. I have no doubt that Blake will always stand up for Lizzy, cherish her, and point their new family to Christ. Love y'all, Ben A
