Galena Creek Visitor Center

Check out this beautiful forest where our wedding reception was to be held. The hiking throughout the park is easy and a great example of what Reno outdoors has to offer

Circus Circus Reno

Great place to take kids or kids at heart. There is the midway and arcade games that can keep you entertained for an afternoon. Ben and I have done many a day dates here.

Sand Harbor Beach

Hours: 8 a.m. to 1 hour after sunset Day use entrance fee: $10.00 per vehicle This amazing beach is Elizabeth recommendation. The shoreline is filled with large boulders and cristal clear blue water. Its a bit of a drive up Mt Rose highway but worth it once you get there.

Virginia City

An old mining town Virginia City is a short drive from Reno and is filled with family fun activities and an opportunity to live history. You may see some wild horses along the drive. Note the drive wines and is steep for a good 20 minutes so if you are car sick easily I would not recommend

Grover Hot Springs State Park

This is one of our favorites when the weather gets cold. It is a short 30-minute drive from Gardnerville, with a natural hot spring and great easy trails.

Genoa

One of the oldest towns in Nevada. The home of the candy dance festival...sorry, not happening during the wedding weekend.

Bently Heritage Estate Distillery & Public House

Minden Meat and Deli

One of the best burgers we have ever had. This is a hidden gem with a great beer selection..per Ben.

Carson Valley Golf Course

A place to get in a round of golf and the location of our rehearsal dinner. Great Basque food.
