Andrew and Biz first crossed paths at their First Communion in 2nd grade, and again when Andrew transferred to public school in 5th grade. Biz immediately noticed the cute, tall new boy with braces who wore soccer jerseys—then realized he lived just down the street. Their paths kept crossing until their freshman year of high school, when they officially began dating. Their early “dates” included Andrew picking Biz up in his Volkswagen Passat to watch the stars from the roof at Moran Prairie, driving up and down High Drive, and occasionally stalling the car while picking her up for school (which also happened to be the only times Biz was ever on time for class). They spent their freshman year of college apart—Andrew at University of Washington and Biz at Arizona State—staying connected through late-night calls, shared college woes, and new-friend stories. In 2017, Biz traveled to Coeur d’Alene for Andrew’s college formal, met the UW crew, and decided to transfer. They spent the rest of their college years together and graduated in 2020. After graduation, they moved back to Spokane, adopted a cat (who now lives happily at Biz’s parents’ house), and worked a mix of jobs. In 2022, they moved to Chicago for Biz’s graduate program and have been building their life there ever since. Over the years, Biz and Andrew have traveled, camped, climbed, skied, and sampled just about every food spot in Chicago. Some of their favorite memories include seeing Mont Blanc in Chamonix, rock climbing in Smith Rock, sipping wine under the Eiffel Tower, and supporting each other through grad school, new jobs, and long-distance runs. Andrew and Biz cannot wait to celebrate their love with the family and friends who have been part of their story. Thank you—and we can’t wait to see you all in July!
