We're getting Married

Anand's cousin, Norma introduced us. She and I had been colleagues/friends for many years at a preschool in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Fast forward 20 years later in late November of 2020, she reached out to me on FB and asked if I was dating or married. She wanted me to meet her cousin. She noted that we were similar in age, never married, both conservative, shared political views AND were both big Trump Supporters. She also shared that he had two adult children, was old-fashioned, quiet, reserved, humble and respectful. I thought to myself.... “hmmm, interesting, so out of the blue…. but, why not? I'll give it a try.” And so we got connected through messenger, then texts, then phone calls.... and eventually that January, we went on a first date. Then a second, third, fourth, etc. And here we are today....both late bloomers to the marriage table about to discover the mystery of the sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

This past Marti Gras, aka Fat Tuesday, we got engaged over a decadent meal as we were about to enter Ash Wednesday/Lent Season. From feast to fast to Cana. Our wedding day will mark almost two years from the day our cupid matchmaker reached out. Lucky November! We're so excited to celebrate this covenant in our lives with you as our wedding guests at our very own Cana. We’re very thankful to our Lord and Our Lady for her intercession in bringing our hearts together and watching over us like she did for the couple at Cana, when our Lord performed his first public miracle. Anytime our spiritual wine has run low, she has interceded to make sure graces overflow with the finest vintage. Let the good wine flow into new wineskins for he has saved the best until now.
