“We’re getting married!”

Elizabeth had spotted a cute mechanic while boarding the plane one morning, and she just had to talk to her. Elizabeth thought of ways that she could get Amanda up on the plane to talk to her, so she made a gate call for a coffee maker issue. Elizabeth claimed that the hot water didn’t work and she needed it for her lunch of ramen noodles. Amanda came up and turned on the coffee maker, asking for a cup, showing Elizabeth that there was in fact hot water. Elizabeth acted surprised and said “Oh you have to turn it on” which made Amanda laugh. Elizabeth sheepishly said thank you and they both went on with their day. This started the daily conversations and long stares that eventually led to a date! And the rest is history!

Amanda told Elizabeth she wanted to go on a flight to San Francisco to go and see the Golden Gate Bridge. So Amanda hopped on a flight that Elizabeth was working and headed out to San Francisco. Elizabeth had no idea what the real reason was for going to the Golden Gate Bridge, but everyone working the flight knew. There were plenty of hushed conversations with the other flight crew members, trying to figure out the plan. Once they landed, they headed to the hotel to get ready to travel to the Bridge. Amanda was nervous, but excited to see the look of surprise on Elizabeth’s face when she finally popped the question. While getting photos take together in front of the bridge, Amanda knelt down and pulled out the ring. Elizabeth turned, fully surprised and Amanda asked the question “Will you marry me?”. Elizabeth excitedly said yes, still unable to process what happened. The flight crew had taken photos and videos of the event!
