7 Mile (roundtrip) hike to an amazing alpine lake — about an hour from Bozeman Grab a beer at Beehive Basin Brewery to reward yourself!
Trail backing up to the 63 Ranch, which is the most special place on earth (in our opinion). You have to drive in through the private ranch entrance and veer left at the barn. Close all gates once you drive through and there is trailhead parking at the end of the road. Hiking boots a must as you may have to walk through streams/low water. Just an amazing place!
If you wish to extend your trip and venture to Jackson, we recommend hiking to Delta Lake (via Lupine Meadow Trail) for a challenging, yet unbelievable hike — it is SO worth the scramble up! Don’t forget to visit Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and Persephone’s Bakery while in town!
Great hike in Paradise Valley and convenient if staying at the venue— 10 mile (roundtrip) of moderate/hard terrain
The Beartooth Highway is an All-American Road on a section of U.S. Route 212 in Montana and Wyoming between Red Lodge and the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park, passing over the Beartooth Pass in Wyoming at 10,947 feet above sea level. Unbelievable Views!
Great option for kids!
