This is a favorite of both the Garstecki and Sensing families. Family style dinner, Elizabeth especially has fond memories of the Shirley temples, noodles, ice cream, and enjoying dinner with Grandpa Frank. Al remembers yearly dinners with grandparents and exploring the downstairs Castle shops where Grandma Carol would buy sweet treats from the bakery. Honorable mentions: accordion players, snapping the ice cream stick figurines in half, and the hostess that has been there since Al lost a tooth at the restaurant.
Elizabeth has many fond memories of dropping Grandpa Frank off in the waiting area, and meandering around the store with the rest of the family looking at Nutcrackers and ornaments with Grandma Elaine. Al notes that there are too many ornaments to choose from.
A Michigan classic and Laura Sensing favorite! Great chocolate covered cherries and support for the LGBTQ community. Please consider shopping here!
This spot always reminds us of Cafe du Monde and our trip to New Orleans in 2015
A Garstecki tradition. Notable Garstecki favorite flavors: Chicago style, Plain Cheddar, and Rainbow
From Al: I don't have anything to add on the cheese house. It's cheese. A lot of cheese. And you can get the butter pretzels there.
