LondonHouse Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton

LondonHouse is where the wedding reception will be held and where we will be staying. It is located right in the heart of downtown Chicago at the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue. Guests are highly encouraged to use the block room rate for the night of the wedding. The group rate is $179 per night (less than our 2021 rate) and reservations may be made online or by calling the number above. When calling, please request the discounted wedding rate for the Charnowski-Peterson wedding. If booking online, click the link below. The Westin Chicago River North

We have also reserved a second block of rooms at The Westin, which is just on the other side of the river from London House and approximately an 8 minute walk away. The rate is $189 a night for a King room or $209 a night for a Double room. The room block will stay open until February 25, 2022 or until the block is full. Travel Note

Getting Around

For those coming in from out of town, we recommend Uber and Lyft or public transportation as the best way to get around. While Parking is offered at London House, it's quite pricey and you do not need to have a car to get around.

Train

CTA

The 'L' can get you around Chicago easily, depending where you are going. Rides cost $2.75 ($5.00 from O'Hare) with a Ventra Card (which you can buy and load/re-load at any station) or you can buy a 3-day pass for $20. Additionally, there are a multitude of CTA buses in the city.

Flight

O'Hare

O'Hare is one of two airports you can fly in to in Chicago. If you fly into O'Hare, you can take the blue line CTA train right into the city for $5, and it takes about 45 minutes to get to the Loop. You can also call an Uber/Lyft at the airport. It takes approximately 25 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic, to get from O'Hare to the loop and generally costs approximately $30-40.

Flight

Midway

Midway is the other airport you can fly in to and is home to all Southwest Airlines flights into & out of Chicago. If you fly in to Midway, you can take the CTA orange line train straight into the city. The train from the airport to any stops in to the city is $2.50, and it takes approximately 25-45 minutes to get to the Loop. You can also call an Uber/Lyft which will be closer to $25-30, and it will take around 25-40 minutes depending on traffic.
