Antoine and Liz met through the new-fangled way of the 21st Century...via a dating app. They first matched on the app Bumble at the end of June 2024. After talking for a few weeks, there was suddenly radio silence from Antoine's end... However, after about two months, Antoine came to his senses and came groveling back to Liz for a second chance. Liz agreed, saying they could continue talking, but after another week of messaging back and forth, both of them agreed it was time to meet in person. Their first date took place on a warm Saturday afternoon in October. Antoine drove to Dickinson, and they had lunch at Phat Fish Brewery. Then, they drove to the local Dunn Brothers Coffee shop and spent the afternoon talking over cups of coffee. After a few more weeks of messaging and a meet-up in Beulah, they decided to make it official. Liz drove to Beulah one Friday night at the end of October, as they were going to go to Bismarck for a Dueling Pianos Concert. That night, Liz met Miles and Amelia for the first time, bringing them gifts as she was stealing their dad away for the night. Antoine says that is when he knew Liz was the one. ;) After a year of dating, Liz and Antoine were in northern Minnesota, visiting Liz's brother and his family. While exploring the little town of Nisswa, they decided to take a walk through the woods. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow through the tree branches. Antoine turned to Liz and asked if there was anyone walking down the path behind him. Liz said no, and Antoine dropped to one knee... And the rest is history!
