Question

What should I wear for cocktail attire and black-tie optional?

Answer

Welcome Drinks - Cocktail Attire - please dress up like you would for a nice party! A coat & tie are not necessary. Khakis or slacks & a button-up are perfect. Ladies, a cocktail dress or nice pants/skirt & a blouse are perfect! Wedding Day - Black-tie Optional - Full suit & tie with the option to wear a tux (which we love)! Ladies, we'd love to see you in a midi or floor length dress/gown!

Question

What time should I arrive to the church?

Answer

Please try to arrive to the church by 2:50pm!

Question

What are the shuttle details?

Answer

There will be a shuttle from to & from the hotels. This will pick up on Mason, outside of the Fairmont and just across the street from the Mark Hopkins! Approximate departure times to the church are 2:00, 2:15, and 2:30!

Question

Can I park at the church?

Answer

Yes, there is an underground garage (entrance/exit on Powell Street - open 2:30-4:15pm). Cars must be removed after the ceremony.

Question

Where should I sit?

Answer

Our greeters will direct you!

Question

I am not Catholic, any tips for church?

Answer

When everyone goes up to receive the Eucharist, you can stay seated or walk up and cross your arms over your chest to receive a blessing! Aside from that, there will be plenty of Catholic guests, so you'll figure out when to sit and stand. If people kneel, you do not have to, but you can if you'd like to say a prayer!

Question

What is the dresscode for church?

Answer

Black-tie optional. We do recommend bringing a shoulder covering in case it is cold, but this is not required!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our reception to be an adult's night out! Your invitation will designate those invited.

Question

Is anything outdoors?

Answer

No, everything will be indoors!

Question

Can I park at the Fairmont?

Answer

Yes you can valet! It’s a bit pricey, so we recommend the Masonic Garage if you plan to drive!
