The Larder (89 Crystal Lake Drive) A charming restaurant located in Hammond’s Ferry offering breakfast, sandwiches, small plates and daily specials. Walk over from the Crowne Plaza for brunch.
TakoSushi (437 Highland Ave) Where the Far East meets the Southwest. Takosushi offers fresh sushi rolls and Southwest fare. Rhinehart’s (3051 Washington Road) With picnic-style seating, this “beyond casual” spot is a great place to grab a fried shrimp basket or ‘Po boy. WifeSaver (3316 Washington Road). A traditional “meat and three”, this local favorite is famous for its Augusta pimento cheese. Grab a bite for lunch after the wedding festivities. The SolFood Kitchen (471 Highland Ave). If you need a break from homestyle cooking, this wellness café offers colorful and fresh bowls, salads and sandwiches with options for vegetarian and vegan lifestyles.
Frog Hollow Tavern (1282 Broad Street). Known for its pork chop special and mac and cheese, this is the place to go if you’re looking for a fantastic farm-to-table dinner. Beck’s (2111 Kings Way). An excellent restaurant offering seasonal seafood and wood-fire grilled steaks, locals know Beck’s for their oysters and open, neighborhood ambience. One of our favorite dinner spots! Abel Brown Southern Kitchen & Oyster Bar (491 Highland Avenue). Another top-notch oyster and seafood restaurant. Luigi’s (590 Broad Street) The city’s oldest family-owned restaurant and an Augusta staple, Luigi’s is located downtown and offers traditional Greek and Italian food.
Arsenal Taproom and Kitchen (1419 Monte Santo Avenue) Stop by the Arsenal Taproom to enjoy the beer garden and choose from one of the best beer selections in the South. Southbound Smokehouse (1009 Center Street) Southbound has TVs, a full bar, live music and views of the Savannah River and SRP Park. Edgar’s Above Broad (699 Broad Street). While downtown, be sure to stop by the bronze replica of Augusta native, James Brown. Surrey Center (Highland Avenue/Berckmans Road). This three-level outdoor shopping center is a balanced mix of restaurants and local boutiques.
