The first time we laid eyes on each other was in the summer of 2007. After a long night of partying on opposite sides of Long Beach with our group of friends we each decided to catch a bite at the Golden Burger in West Long Beach. There is where our lives were forever changed. Nick’s group of friends approached Elizabeth’s group and where every guy tried and failed at love nick was the only lucky one. He says he never thought he’d get a burger and meet his future wife. Till today he says its the best combo hes ever had.
On their family vacation to Maui, Hawaii, Nick planned to pop the question atop of Mt. Haleakela on an early mornings sunrise. However mother nature had a different plan with her 20mph winds and temperatures of around 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Nick had no choice but to postpone for another day. So the very next morning he and her family woke up again at 3:30 am to make the beautiful drive AGAIN up the mountain before the sunrise. Once there he waited for the sunrise and while everyone was fixed on the sun his eyes were fixed on her eyes as she said YES! The day will forever be their best sunrise ever.
The first member of the family was our smart and mello dog Schmidt. We bought him on Craigslist (before adopting was cool) he was the fluffiest pup. When we went to pick him up he was the only one out of litter crying. Elizabeth for some reason chose him. I remeber saying “don’t get him cause he’s broken or something”(dont tell him please). Im glad she chose him cause he brings so much joy to our lives. She sure knows how to pick the right one lol.
Our family grew by one awsome ranbunctious boy. Nicolas Mason loves to wrestle with dad and go for late night walks around the neighborhood (not by himself). He has the honor of being the ring bearer on our important day. He is the curse word police so becareful he’ll call you out.
