A high school classmate once tried to bribe Jake to ask Elissa to senior prom. Instead, our first date was the day BEFORE prom, and we technically attended the dance as "just friends," which probably means we lose all of our High School Sweethearts cred. But after three and a half years of international Skype calls, cross-country road trips, farmers' markets, lazy Saturdays, dog parenting, and recipe taste-testing, when Jake got down on one knee in front of Cinderella Castle at Disneyland, we were definitely ready to get started on our happily ever after.
