10/10 would recommend if you are looking for an all day plan. This museum has exhibits for the Streets of Old Milwaukee - a step back in time to 1900s Milwaukee; the Puelicher Butterfly Garden – our live tropical butterfly exhibit; The Third Planet, featuring the Museum’s ancient creatures including dinosaurs; and a two-story immersive Costa Rican Rainforest, complete with a walkway through the tree-top canopy, more than 25 centuries of art and technology on the Pre-Columbian America mezzanine, or delve into the sunless zone of our oceans to witness luminous fish.
Nice way to spend a day that you don't want to plan out! There's a tiki bar for drinks on the beach directly, and walking distance (about half a mile) south of the beach is MooSa's. They sell burgers, milkshakes, frozen custard, drinks, and more!
The Milwaukee Public Market is a great place for a long lunch. They have different storefronts for ready to eat food, fresh cheese, candy and desserts, and Milwaukee merch! If you buy anything at the market, they will validate your parking if you are there less than an hour. Just bring in your parking ticket given at the entrance of the parking lot!
SafeHouse is a family-friendly restaurant in downtown Milwaukee fully packed with fun, food, and spy missions. While they’re waiting for their food, agents-in-training are welcome to investigate each room of SafeHouse. But keep in mind, any intelligence found must remain a secret.
If you are looking for an upscale dinner or date night dinner, Bartolotta's is a great fine dining option! Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro’s beautiful setting in a park pavilion overlooking Lake Michigan and its award-winning cuisine have made it one of the premier dining and special event destinations in Milwaukee since 1995. The menu ranges from traditional to modern.
Ian's is a Milwaukee based company who is known for unusual toppings, quality local ingredients and late night crowds; featuring pizza by the slice, whole pies and salads prepared fresh daily. Personally, I love the mac 'n cheese pizza!
