Our proposal story is more like a romantic comedy! On June 24, 2018 Christopher asked if he could take me out to dinner to Hideaway (the location of our first date). Of course, I agreed and we made plans to go once he returned home from work. Little did he know, I was having a lounging day and was adamant about continuing to wear the yoga pants that I had on all day long. Christopher insisted that I wear "real pants", but I refused, much to his dismay. So, to Hideaway we went, where I proceeded to drop my very first slice of pizza, cheese down, into my lap on my "not real pants". At this time Christopher is internally shaking his head because he knows that his plan of convincing me to go walk around Theta Pond and recreating our first date is basically going to be out of the question. So, instead, after dinner, we went home. When we got home I convinced him to watch this really terrible tv show that I had been watching called "The Proposal" (I didn't know how ironic this would be). After the show was over, I continued to ruin Christopher's plans at every turn. At one point he walked into a different room to get the ring out of his pocket and I followed him in the room to ask what he was doing. Then, finally he was frustrated and decided he was going to try to get me to go to another room so that he could get the ring out, so he asked me to go get him a bottle of water, I responded by telling him to "go get one out of the kitchen, you know where they are." After all of the trouble he finally just decided to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. I was absolutely shocked, and said "shut up!" a few times before I finally answered with a very excited "YES!" Poor Christopher, I hope he knows what he is getting into with me haha
