Back in 2014, Imran was my boss. He was a great boss. But something was missing. How could I get that merit increase... a higher bonus check... maybe even a promotion. Suddenly the picture became clear.. we can have lunch every day and I'll use my West Virginia charm to work things in my favor. And so it started. One lunch date after another. Then one day after leaving Taco Bell, he asked me if I would go out with him on a Valentine's Date. Oh Snap! I'm in trouble. Maybe I took it too far. I mean, we were great friends & you don't date your friends, right. I respectfully declined. After a couple of weeks of awkwardness, lunchtime chats resumed. We had a lot of good talks, great debates, and a ton of laughs. About a year later (November 2018), he asked again to go on a Valentine's Date. Sigh, what's a girl to do?! My mind was racing, what's one date/free food, right? I can do this. So I reluctantly agree to a single date, 3 months in the future. (For those that don't know, Imran is a planner). Of course within five minutes of agreeing he came back and said, "why wait, how about next week?" Again, I reluctantly agreed, telling him this would never work and I didn't want to end up losing a friend. Just. One. Date. Now here we are almost six years in, and he's my sunshine on a cloudy day, a beautiful rainbow after the rain... he's my one and only. My dream come true. - Elisha
