What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Question

What should I know about the ceremony itself?

Answer

The ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass. There may be elements some people may not be familiar with, and that's okay! Here's an overview: • The Mass will be celebrated "ad orientem," or when the priest faces liturgical east. He will be facing the same direction as the congregation: toward the tabernacle, where the most important wedding Guest is reserved. • Many of the Mass parts will be sung in Latin, the universal language of the Catholic Church. Specifically, we will be using the "Missa de Angelis" setting for the Gloria, Agnus Dei, and Sanctus. We have created a playlist with those selections in case guests would like to familiarize themselves with them: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2YtUa9ajhgW1a205y6uy30?si=Fe46h9raSk-JBLNLKxxxxw • Catholics who are properly disposed and not in grave sin are invited to receive Communion. There will be kneelers provided for those who would like to receive the Eucharist kneeling.
